"Loved the hotel, welcomed by very personable and kind doormen who were so friendly and attentive throughout our whole stay. The room was lovely and very spacious! Pool was busy but still nice! The location was also great, which a short walk over the river into the centre of York and the hotel was a perfect get away from the busy streets after a day walking around. Only negatives would be the foyer and welcome - it was very busy and queues up to the door! There needed to be a more efficient system to show us the additional check in room next door! Also our room backed onto the delivery entry to the hotel so we were woken at 6:45am by lorries and loud noise! This being said we would definitely return and thanks for a lovely stay! "

"Perfect setting- right next to train station. Lovely hotel, good facilities, helpful staff. Only issue for us (although others might of liked it as it was a cold February ) our room was very hot. Couldn’t work out the air conditioning but as we only stayed one night we didn’t mention to staff on this occasion. "
