"We stayed Saturday 12th April for just the one night. Ample car parking and a warm welcome at reception. We had room 11 with a balcony it is very basic but clean. A bath with shower overhead plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. A sofa bed and coffee table by the window. No hairdryer available in the room and only one hand towel. We didnt have dinner in the hotel but chose a local restaurant. Breakfast was cooked to order, nice to see strawberries and blueberries along with yogurt. A...

"Very welcoming, brilliant breakfast, comfortable rooms with plenty of hot water. Probably could have done with a couple more staff working. "

"Friendly staff, nicely decorated and very comfortable bedroom for our overnight stay before heading to Stansted airport. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a drain smell in the bathroom and the church bells tolling on the hour every hour meant that I wasn’t very rested when I got up for my early flight!"

"Wonderful very old building with very helpful friendly staff. A building this old can’t be in perfect condition but they do their best. Very helpful with food when we were a little late arriving."

"Very friendly service. Hotel rooms are very dated and basic. Bed was comfy but was woken at 6am for the beer delivery which was very loud."
