"I traveled solo and felt so peaceful and safe! All the staff is a delight - especially Roy who always remembered my name, Fabiana who gives the best massages and Christian the tour guide. Town is 10 minutes away and Baldi Hot Springs are 5 minutes. Would definitely stay again! "

"The worst part of the stay was finding the lodge. Our GPS kept going out and there NO signage, not even one sign which I feel is inexcusable. It added on an extra hour and a half to our arrival to the lodge in addition to the frustration factor. But once there, the stay was wonderful. Staff were very helpful-they helped book different activities and book restaurant reservations. The location on the edge of the rainforest was great. The only downside was availability of restaurants-a 30 min drive...

"The property was beautiful! We saw more birds on the property than we did at the nearby natiknal park. The food from the restaurant was excellent! A true highlight of our trip. The rooms were very clean and so was the entire property and the staff was very nice and helpful. Only negative of the property is a lack of heating/cooling in the rooms. "The space was really beautiful and was everything we needed. I was facilitating a wellness retreat and the large room was perfect for our participants and activities. The rooms were great and so was the space. My only recommendation is to make it clear in the posting that the swimming pool and labyrinth area is located in another part of the location of the property and is not walkable to get to. Thank you."

"What a perfect place to spent your holidays! The house is amazing. The garden is full of wildlife and flowers. The hosts are the kindest we met sofar. We are on our 3,5 week honeymoon thru Costa Rica en this is our stay for day 8. Heylin and her husband made our stay extra special. Nothing is problem and anything seems possible. "A great choice in this area for a budget property. Room was very clean, staff was friendly. We were entertained in the morning by a troop of Capuchin Monkeys while eating the included breakfast."

"We had the deluxe bungalow, it was very clean, spacious and private. Very safe place that is just outside the small town of Bijagua. Can get pretty windy at night which is normal in the mountains, I am a sensitive sleeper so earplugs and eye covers recommended to help you get a good nights rest. Reasonable price for a pretty cute place with friendly prompt service and nice breakfast. About 20-30min drive from Tenorio National Park to see Rio Celeste. "

"This place was a perfect little quiet getaway. The food onsite is some of the best food we had in Costa Rica. I highly recommend the pescado for lunch/dinner. We did not have 4WD but we made it just fine and left the site every day for site seeing. Don’t let the 1st downhill discourage you, once you get to the bottom of it it’s pretty easy road from there. "I am giving a 5 star to the owner for trying to help, but unfortunately only a 2 stars for the property. The bedding and bathroom were clean and good. The description and the pictures are extremely misleading. There are no 3 Queen Beds and 1 Twin bed, but 2 twin beds. There is no internet in the bedroom, and even in the: "main lodge open room” internet is only connected when the owner connects it via his phone (tethering), and I suppose that he must have a limited amount of data as the internet...

"My favourite place by far on our costa rica trip! Cabin had everything you could possibly need, we even made our own dinner one night. Owners are amazing, friendly people with so much knowledge of the area and all the animals and plants. Propertly is absolutely beautiful, with trails and a very nice garden (their super friendly dog even came with us on our walk around the property, which we loved!) Lots of birds right outside your own little balcony. And the best part.. there is a sloth! Right...

"My husband and I never wanted to leave. The views of this villa are breathtaking. Santiago was able to help us with settling in quickly. Highly recommended if you have access to a vehicle. Otherwise, it may be difficult for you to reach the villa and/or utilize the hotel below for dining/etc. "

"We traveled in a group of 19 to Patrick's home for 4 nights over New Years. Patrick and his home exceeded all of our expectations. First of all, his home is beautiful and build very tastefully. Secondly Patrick was an INCREDIBLE host. New Years is a HUGE holiday for our family. Patrick arranged for a private chef to make us a New Years feast. "The property had amazing views. The best part was waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and other wild life and having chef prepared breakfast :) Some reviews did mention the bugs: you're in nature; it's expected and you get used to it and they do have pest control. No AC, but they provided fans and it was comfortable. Place is MUCH larger than the pictures. Highly recommend hiring James to cook for you!! We had him prepare breakfast daily! He's amazing and it makes getting started...

"Arenal Manoa is absolutely amazing!! The staff is fabulous, they know your name, polite, friendly. The grounds are beautiful, well kept. We stayed in the Chato Suite and it felt like our own private oasis with a breathtaking backyard space, swinging sofa, multiple sitting/laying arrangements around a fabulous pool with perfect views of the Arenal Volcano. Buffett breakfast included, sushi, pizza and restaurant on site, we ordered room service multiple times and received it quick. Spa by the river and multiple natural hot springs on the property, they added some in an adult only zone, all are surrounded and under the lush vegetation on the property and a perfect escape. We also booked RT transportation to/from hotel and 2 tours through them. Arenal Manoa staff know how to make you feel special and cater to your needs. It was a most memorable vacation and we will return! "
