"This listing was La Paz and it is NO WHERE near La Paz. It is up the coast from Los Barriles. Very remote, quiet and peaceful. Great place to step away from the world."

"Relaxing, hot tub was great. Home away from crowds, but close to beaches. if you have a car, restaurants and groceries close enough too. You can rent side x side in Los Barriles about a 5-8 minute drive. Waterfalls and hotsprings within 40 minute drive. 4 wheel drive vehicles or side x side best for waterfall and hotspings outings."

"If you like to be away from it all, this is the place. Beautiful waterfall, close to hot springs, hiking. The people running the lodge are great and the food is out of this world. No refrigerators so plan accordingly if you are making your own food. One building is your bathroom and bedroom and the second building is the kitchen and dining area with two additional places to either sleep or sit. Can go on top of the second building above the kitchen for sunsets and bird watching. Very peaceful and the other guests were very nice. "

"We rang in the new year at the Casa de las Sonrisas. I also turned 50 here. It was the best house and setting that we could have asked for!! It was perfect for our group of 9. The location was great – very secluded away from tourists and commotion. We had the best time. The hot tub and pool were amazing and well used by the group. The rooms were spacious and had very comfortable beds. Relaxing was so easy here. We were able to see whales from the balconies!!Being right on the beach was so fun. We went exploring and the guys took the kayaks out each morning. There are so many places to sit and relax throughout the house. Everywhere you sat you had a fabulous view and could hear the waves. The kitchen was a dream. We made many meals there with ease.The host was easy to chat with and very responsive to questions. The man that helped us during our stay made us feel at home and was extremely helpful. All in all, I would highly recommend staying here. I dream of a day we can return!!The only thing that I would note is that the roads are only dirt getting there once you turn off the main road. We had small SUVs and didn’t have any trouble. But I just wanted to note it for anyone renting cars."
