"River Views Lavender Farm was an exceptional place to stay! Upon arrival we were greeted by 3 very happy and friendly dogs! The room was very comfortable and met all our needs. We opened up the windows and enjoyed listening to the sound of the river below and admiring the beauty all around. "My friends and I had an excellent stay at this property, it was the perfect size for 3 adults and very quaint and private. I will say that the listing says that it is 8.8 miles from Leesburg VA (which is where my friends and I were visiting) but that is not entirely accurate- there IS a ferry you can take across that maybe makes that number true but if you are an out of towner and are planning on just driving GPS style it ACTUALLY takes about 25-30 minutes to drive into town. "We stayed for three nights over a long weekend, arriving on Friday night and leaving Monday morning. 8 adults and six kids between 5 and 12. Check-in was easy. Location right next to the brewery was great. House is very big and well laid out. It does indeed have great views. A couple of things held this back from being 5 stars. "The cabin was perfect for a few days of writing and reflecting! Everything was very clean and it was easy communicating with the owner. The house is not "secluded" as there are neighboring houses on two sides and if I hadn't brought an ax/saw to cut my own dry wood enjoying a fire wouldn't have been possible. But overall a lovely stay and I look forward to going again!"
