"My friends and I always choose a new cabin for our annual fall getaway. We've not had a bad experience yet. Mountain Mama's Woodpecker Woods did not disappoint, either! Comfortable, warm, clean, spacious log cabin. It had everything we needed. In fact, it was so relaxing, we never made it to the hot tub. "Cozy cabin, wonderful hosts, great location near the AT. Probably the most thoughtful host we’ve had, they’ve thought of everything from breakfast treats and extra linens, even dog treats."

The cat smell was mentioned in the description and it was noticable, but we got used to it. "It was so nice. We were bummed to only be there one night. Such a lovely set up. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Although I have to say the trip up the hill was similar to a roller coaster ride, such fun."

"We were visiting with family in Boonsboro and arrived late in the evening and left by 9am, but everything was there that we would have needed for a longer stay, which we have planned for Thanksgiving. Kitchen was very well equipped, the space was inviting, the beds were comfy and the view out the back was great, Looking forward to our return!"

Lovely great room affords beautiful views of the lake, opens on to the screened porch (left) and the hot tub (center), has a wood burning stove and a 50" Amazon Fire TV

"The cabin was nice . Great view. Mostly clean , but the coffee pot was very dirty. There was plenty of coffee, but no filters.The grill was very dirty and the grill bush was in such bad condition it was un-usable."

"My family and I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The views are great. The house was cute and clean. The only little things that were not working properly were the front bathroom toilet is not set right so it rocks and the fireplace in the living area wouldn’t turn on. Not deal breakers by any means. We would stay again "
