"Lovely well appointed rooms with nice little touches like the home made biscuits. Our meal in the restaurant was beautiful. Breakfast had a great choice and again lovely and tasty Will definitely return "

"Love coming back here, relaxed atmosphere, lovely homely rooms and great food. Staff always helpful and appear very happy in their jobs, always a good sign of a happy ship!"

"Absolutely beautiful place to stay, my partner and I had one of the balcony rooms and it was lovely; very clean and well kept, we were provided with a kettle as well as tea, coffee and biscuits which was a nice surprise! We had a problem accessing the room initially but the host was incredibly helpful when we called and everything was sorted! One thing I would say is it’s down a lot of narrow country roads, so be careful of the weather (we got into a bit of trouble with flooding on the way...

"I can’t praise this hotel enough I’ve stayed all over the world in some fabulous hotels but this was outstanding. From the moment we arrived our host Pam made us more than welcome even allowing us to take part in their Burns night that they had on that evening . If you’re visiting this area and are lucky enough to get a room this has got to be the best place to stay ."

"A little difficult to find perhaps but once there it is lovely. We arrived in the dark so it was great to wake up, open the curtains and look at the view across the fields. Breakfast (full english) was superb."

"It’s not worth the price we paid, we booked for 11 person but the bed can only accommodate 10 person that my son end up sleeping on the floor , upstrair toilet floor is leaking down to the kitchen, we emailed the host on the first day but no reply til we check out, So we have to share the the down floor toilet, the hot tub is dirty that we end up cleaning for us to be able to use, dusty and loads of cubweds in one of the bedroom downstairs."

Overall - decent hotel

"Great service, excellent food and the drinks offering was exceptional. Best I've seen in any hotel. Breakfast was decent too. Spa and gym facilities were excellent, loads of equipment. I had an executive room which was the best on offer. It was tired, not particularly clean either. Loads of dust behind the TV and there were stains on the bed runner. The door handle of the bathroom opened directly on to the edge of the shower glass, stupid design floor. Someone unknowingly opens the bathroom door too hard and thats a disaster waiting to happen. Needs addressing urgently. Finally, the lighting in the car park is very poor. Extremely difficult to see where you're walking when moving from the gym back to the hotel. Aside from that, the stay was great. "
