"Very nice room with comfortable bed, excellent shower, though fairly small bedroom with a standard sized double bed and no chairs. Free parking space for each room. Extremely good value for money. Premier Inn, Hereford wanted £110 more for 1 night(!) and would have charged extra for breakfast and parking! We had a meal at the pub that was OK. All the staff were very helpful and friendly."

It was an ideal place to stay with easy access to Hay and to the cafe in the airstrip. We will return if we go back that way again."

"The accommodation is lovely, it’s in its own little courtyard, which is accessed via the pub, which is a friendly establishment. The only downside is that in common with a lot of Ludlow, the kitchen closed at 7.30, which meant I bought a takeaway from the Chinese round the corner and they missed out on a food and drink order."

"Lovely place, rooms and public spaces immaculate. Dinner and breakfast were great. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the view from our room, we were looking out onto the kitchen roof, complete with ventilation ducts, didn’t spoil out stay but some screening would have been nice. We had a nice stay and the staff were lovely."

"We were walking the Shropshire Way and the White Horse was a nice place to fall into at the end of a long day's walk. The food was wholesome and the bedroom was quiet and comfortable. The bar area was popular with locals celebrating a football match win and this lasted until around 10:00 pm when it all subsided into a gentle placidity. The breakfast in particular was delicious."

"It was exactly what we were looking for. A country pub with B&B. Arrived to a warm welcome, good beer and nice dinner. Room was extremely comfortable and breakfast was exactly what you want and would expect. Thoroughly recommend - even if it is a bit off the beaten track - which is why we chose it."
