He even drove my family to purchase food at the local grocery store and offered balls for our son to kick around, overall great host. "This Gite is one of our favorites and it was the second time we’ve stayed there. The owners are lovely and so accommodating. They provide more than you need for a comfortable vacation and true French experience. For all of you history buffs, it’s only one town over from Belleau a huge WWI site (battle of Belleau Bois). It’s so close to Paris however there’s no reason to go there since there’s so much to do in this region alone. You must have a car to enjoy but that’s true of the countryside....

"Excellent trip. Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Ideal location in a quiet village but close to bigger towns within a 10-20 minute drive. Use of the garden was a good facility too. Owner was very approachable and amenable and spoke excellent English with us which was appreciated. Would have no hesitation in returning here and will recommend to friends and family as an ideal accommodation in a good location. 😊"
