"Good communication with host. Very tidy house. Unsure how to work the oven and all outlets had a switch. Separate faucet for kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room with hot and cold with no ability to mix. No dryer, only a drying rack on a cold, wet day. I also wish it had a bedside table lamp and a small trash can in the bathroom. It was very cold. There was a small room heater, wall heater in the hall, and nice warm electric fireplace. "Our family of four had a fantastic stay at Welcome Home Cottage. It is in a nice and quiet location and the house is great. Very cosy (can imagine it is great in winter!) with everything, and more, that you need. A short walk to the lake and the shopping area (café, restaurant/bar, takeways, a very interesting second hand shop, and the wee bookshop.We picked up groceries in Te Anau on the way. "The house is an older property in a quiet, established neighborhood. It is very clean and well appointed, everything worked as it should, and we were very comfortable there. Manapouri is a small community, which we preferred over all the tourism in Te Anou. We were quite happy to make the 15 min commute up to join in the fun or go out to eat, and then return to the calm of Manapouri when we were done. Lake Manapouri is just lovely!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here but the layout is definitely different. It is not for people with mobility issues but otherwise it is great. The are multiple places inside and out to enjoy the view and it is pretty spectacular. We loved sitting in the sunroom and enjoying the view of the hills and the river. "This place is very minimalist. It had enough room for all of us with 3 bedrooms and a sleep out. The sleep out was half the garage and had an ensuite. It was sufficient but small. Not really enough plates for the amount of people that can stay. The glasses were in need of a bit of cleaning as well. It needs a little attention. "
