"Great stay! Beach really is just steps away, and you can fall asleep to the sound of waves every night. Everything you would need is provided. We stayed for 12 nights, and it was not long enough. "Travelling around CR for nearly a month we wanted to book somewhere near the party town of Puerto Viejo to bring in the New Year. So, we paid way over the odds to get this place for 5 nights. "We arrived after dark and the neighborhood looked a little sketchy, but the property was fenced and we were tired. We were booked for two nights but on arrival we asked if we could stay for one night and she said okay. When she showed us the room she apologized for the neighbor’s loud music and hoped it wouldn’t keep us up all night. Luckily it was only until around 10pm before they turned it down. "This place was so tidy and had everything we needed. We didnt realize before we arrived that we would recieve amazing, homemade breakfasts each morning from our host. The property smelled like flowers and there were little creatures everywhere. The path to the beach and the beach itself was immaculate and very private. Our host made great reccomendations for places to eat and go to. We would love to come and stay again in this paradise. Thank you!"

"My husband and I stayed 5 days at Casa Verde. We had a very relaxing time there. The town is very small and everything is in walking distance. However, if you get a lot at the bigger grocery store, you might want to ask for them to deliver it for you. The beach is very close by. "What an incredible stay we had at caribe town. The staff was exceptional and the over all vibe was truly what we were looking for. Personable, fun, eccentric, from the people to the food to the amenities to the drinks, classes on property, the pups. The wildlife! You can literally just sit on your porch and have a show. We saw sloths, monkeys, frogs, hummingbirds, lizards beautiful exotic birds. You name it. We never wanted to leave and when we did we wanted to return just as quick as we left. We cannot wait to come back! It was a truly special and unforgettable experience for us. Thank you!"

"The staff here is absolutely incredible! Everyone was so helpful and kind. Definitely want to give a shout out to Jessica and Timateo who were amazing! The breakfast was great. Lunches and dinners were delicious. They have a beautiful area to dine in, multiple bars, cool fire pit, lots of little nooks and crannies to chill in, and they are right on the beach, you can order right from the beach and receive your food and drinks without leaving Paradise, which is absolutely phenomenal. Definitely worth the stay, will be back next time I'm in Costa Rica."

Bonita Casa!

"Went with my adult children and their spouses, and my 77 year old mother! The grounds were amazing. We saw howler monkeys, sloths, toucans, parrots, parakeets, geckos, the most beautiful butterflies you’ve ever seen, hummingbirds in many different sizes. We were a couple block walk from the beach and restaurants. Our host Erinn was fabulous. Super helpful with any of our needs. The house has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. It is the jungle, howler monkeys will wake you up with their amazing howls very early in the morning, but it’s a have to experience moment. There are a lot of bugs, be prepared to wear bug spray, but again, it’s the jungle. Would definitely stay again."

"Perfect location on one of the best beaches in the area Punta Uva, 3 min walk from your room to paradise, clean comfortable modern rooms, multiple room options, good internet, includes breakfast. Staff was very friendly and cordial. 10 mins away from good dining options (La Nena & Rincon Porteño) as well as supermarkets. Also close to Manzanillo and Cocles beaches. Note that Kölbi cellular reception is terrible in this area."

"Review for Umami Hotel I had an amazing stay at Umami Hotel! The service was excellent—the staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The price-to-quality ratio is fantastic. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable, offering great value for the price. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious and well-prepared with fresh ingredients. It’s a great way to start the day before exploring the area. Another big plus is the location. There are plenty of dining options nearby, all within walking distance, making it super convenient to enjoy local cuisine without needing transportation.
