"Jim is a lovely and responsive host. The property is just as pictured on the website. The home is a treasure trove of objects from around the world. The bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen has most all conveniences that we needed to prepare meals. We were there in early November, I'm sure it is even more beautiful during the summer and autumn months when you can enjoy the outside features. "

"The best and most unique hotel in Elkins, where the options are limited to lower and mid tier chains. They have a popular bar and a good restaurant. The free breakfast buffet could be a lot better. "

"My wife and I were on an extended roadtrip and needed a place for an overnight so we could drive the Scenic Highland Highway to New River Gorge NP the next day and Elkins was the perfect spot . This Hotel too was perfect and we intend to return to Elkins for a longer visit and will definitely stay here! "

"Love the location nestled in the woods, the quiet brook burbling past the firepit, the homey pinewood interior, the fully stocked kitchen, the delicious jam and cookies gift. We stayed two nights while climbing Nelson Rocks and wish we had stayed longer. Thanks so much for your hospitality...if I owned a cabin like that, I'd never leave!"

"My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and were pleasantly surprised by all the host had to offer! From complimentary snacks and drinks and a well stocked kitchen, to comfortable beds and a cozy wood-burning fireplace, we truly felt at home. The binder of information about the area went above and beyond, giving us lots of ideas for activities and destinations. Having dry wood available for the fireplace was a great bonus. Everything was clean and in good condition. We could tell that the condo was loved and taken care of, and that our host wanted us to feel comfortable during our stay at their home."
