"I loved the location, the decor, the bed, the staff. Our bathroom had two things that were bothersome. The toilet dripped all night, and the shower head didn't hook up and had to be hand held. I would definitely stay here again. "

"The Hostel is very comfortable Nice and modern with a lovely bar on the ground floor. The only negative point is the position,up on the hill,so it's not very easy to reach if you are coming with luggages or buggies and young kids. Overall is a good price for the expensive Lyon."

"I stayed 2 nights on business. All the staff were super helpful, very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable but could perhaps do with some upgrading. It would have been good if the hotel sold cold drinks as I had to go out after finishing work at c 21:00 and Villeurbanne did not feel terribly safe."

"The hotel itself is OK. It gives off this vibe like someone really cared when it started, the rooms and furnishings are really nice, but then completely gave up, as the details are cheap and staff is tragic. The checkin lady made me feel like her day’s worst burden, then said that the restaurant only sells frozen pizza and if we want something edible, we can drive elsewhere (in an establishment named Hotel Restaurant Riccoty). "The hotel is very nice. It is well decorated, super well located, and it has a very nice vibe to it. The building is old, so there are a few things you should take into account: the elevator is small and slow, and halls are small and a bit inconvenient. But the rooms are big and well furnished, very clean, and very nice. The bathroom in my room was very spacey, and well equipped. The room itself had a balcony with a great view of the city, and very good heating. Breakfast was not outstanding, but it was more than good. Finally I should point out that the location is perfect, and very comfortable to walk or take public transport anywhere in the city. It is especially close to the old Lyon, which is great if you are visiting for tourism. In terms of parking, there is a parking garage right across the street from the hotel but I read it had bad reviews, so I used another by accident the river that was like 4 blocks away, but still very convenient. Parking an suv was not a problem there, although it was very expensive (this has nothing to do with the hotel of course, just a tip for others who might be looking into it). The bottom line is that the hotel was great and I would go back next time I’m in the city."
