"The Lovina didn’t disappoint. It was clean, relaxing and beautiful. We spent 3N4D and wished we had stayed longer. So luxurious. The staff can’t do enough for you. The free shuttle was a nice surprise. So were the free bike rentals. The buffet breakfast was delicious. We had a room that over looked the rice fields and I loved it. Coffee in the morning on our patio looking at rice fields and mountains. Life is good. The only reason I gave a 4 to surrounding area was because there are 3 VERY aggressive female beach sellers. They are not aggressive as in threatening, however, they will not leave you alone when you are sitting on the beach or sitting at the tables near the beach. They will harass you and won’t take no for an answer. I felt that the hotel staff should have asked them to leave and wait at the edge of resort so hotel patrons can approach them if they want. They would interrupt our lunch and when sitting having a drink looking at the ocean. It did put a bit of a damper on our experience. Over all I would encourage you to book this hotel. The staff and facilities were spectacular "

"We had an excellent stay at Pondok Sebatu. We stayed with our teenager in the 2 bedroom villa with private pool, which was very affordable in $AU. The location is idyllic if you are looking for a less touristy, more authentic experience of Balinese traditional life. We were nestled in the hills in Central Bali, surrounded by small properties with rice fields. We saw local wood carvers and artisans selling items from their homes and shops. The facility is very pleasant with warm, responsive and kind staff who can quickly arrange anything from a day tour of Ubud to an airport taxi to laundry, a massage or room service via a quick whatsapp request. Local drivers, spa staff, cooks and concierges are employed and there is a real sense of community building at the Villa. I highly recommend this villa to anyone with a genuine interest in combining learning about other cultures with being “spoiled” with much needed relaxation, in beautiful surroundings. "

"Such an amazing experience at this hotel, not only is the staff incredibly kind and attentive they are also so thoughtful. We stayed for our honeymoon in the pool villa, and on the first night we came in they gave us a call in the morning to see if we’d like to have breakfast even after breakfast hours were over since we hadn’t eaten. They always asked us about our itinerary to help us decide best places to go or offer us shuttle service or a car. We went on a lovely trip with Joe to the swing and coffee plantation, he’s so fun and knowledgeable, he was also so patient with us and wanted to make sure we had a great experience. The room itself is beyond what I expected, so clean and beautifully designed. The bathroom is so spacious and gorgeous that we could probably just live there. The shower has the best water pressure and the hot water keeps going even when we’ve filled the bath and want to use the shower after. Such an amazing experience, I really wish we had booked longer. Highly recommend staying here, and hope to come back one day! Also they offer yoga in the morning, a free foot massage when you first come and their chicken is halal. Amazing experience!!
