"A very nice stay. Though the rooms are above a pub, it was a quiet sleep. No on-site parking, but right across the street there is a municipal parking garage which wasn't too expensive. The Cathedral is a very short walk. The inn provided a nice continental breakfast. The pub scene was quite nice...the locals were friendly and welcomed this American."

"A wonderful stay, albeit only one night, that was everything we were hoping for and more. From the warm welcome to the large comfortable room, it really was fantastic. We ended up staying for dinner (nowhere else local as far as we could see) but we're so glad we did. As a family we have dietary needs (I'm vegetarian and my wife is gluten-intolerant) but they were more than happy to help and accommodate. "Property was full of character, arrived after a long drive to be quickly served dinner, happened to be steak night and food was delicious and a very generous size portion. Room was comfortable and had a great sleep. breakfast was also delicious, scrambled eggs cooked perfectly, not the solid rubbery type found in many establishments. will definitely stay again if in the area. "Great location in Friar Street the prettiest and oldest street in the city centre, with good cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. Quiet. Everywhere is within walking distance. A bit shabby but it’s an old building and reasonably priced for the location and we only slept there, so good value for money"

"Lovely little pub, We stayed 2 nights. Barry the Barman and the owners etc were all so lovely and accommodating. Our room (twin) was very spacious, the beds very comfortable. Toiletries and towels provided. The breakfast was fantastic. Lovely pub and lovely little town to visit. "

"Such a warm and friendly welcome for a solo traveler. Shown to my room which had great facilities if you require disabled facilities. Explained the key requirements for room access. The room was comfortable and extra heaters provided for a warm and cosy stay in such an old beautiful building.
