"Comfortable, clean, perfect stay if you want to visit the Laurgavatn Fontana (and geothermal bakery) Comfortable beds, simple but plentiful breakfast. No hair dryers in the rooms, but friendly staff will gladly provide you with one if asked. Would love to come back and stay a little longer than just one night! "

"Glorious visit to the inside of iceland to see 2 nights of the aurora borealis right in front of hotel and then more uniquely in total darkness across the street at the natural landmark Geothermal site in Geysir! Incredible astrophotography was acquired! Staff was courteous and called during the evening light show."

"A fantastic place to stay, and a brilliant base for the sights of south Iceland. Friendly staff and the room itself had everything you could need for the price, plus a little bit more. Had to use the spare duvet as a pillow, as I like a firm pillow, but that's more personal preference."

"We loved the property. The views were breathtaking and despite the extreme weather, we were always very warm & cozy. The hot tub too was outstanding. The one thing I would have fixed would be the issue with the locks not actually locking. I understand it is a rural area with little to no crime, but as a foreigner from a place that has plenty of crime, it was a bit worrisome leaving for the day’s excursions with the knowledge that the door could not properly lock. Even still, nothing happened which is a credit to the property and the surrounding community. We would happily stay there again and I stand by my high rating."
