"The Royal Seven Stars just oozes history and character. It is just delightful and located right in the middle of the glorious town of Totnes. The staff are all warm, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely dinner with the extra treat of excellent live music. Great atmosphere in the bar, obviously popular with visitors and locals alike. Our room was really comfortable. We had searched for somewhere doggy friendly, but did expect so many facilities in the room just for our little dog. She was really spoilt, thank you."

"Great service from staff and great facilities. We especially enjoyed the spa and our very comfortable stable room on the upper floor of the hotel with lovely courtyard view. It was my birthday treat and Borringdon even had a card and miniature bottle of gin as a welcome gesture, which was much appreciated."

"Stayed for 2 nights as a large party of 30. Restaurant accommodated us both nights for drinks and food. Hotel lovely and clean - definitely would come back!"

"We had an issue with our bath but it was very quickly resolved and we were moved to a nicer and bigger room. Have stayed here before with no issues love Torquay and this is where we would stay every time. My wife had a massage on one of the days and she thoroughly enjoy it and found it very relaxing. "

"We enjoyed an excellent short break at the Redcliffe Hotel. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us and our two dogs and the room was perfect for our needs (although the sea view room was not available as it wasn't one of their pet friendly rooms but they found us a great alternative). Lovely pool area too which the kids loved and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back for another stay. "
