"Our youth hockey team stayed there for a tournamnet and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Which if you haven't had to deal with rowdy 8 year old boys and their parents it's a lot. The area around the hotel is a bit sketchy, but the hotel itself is clean and nice. "

"The facilities were great. The room was clean, the pool was terrific for the kids, and the property had all the amenities we would need (with a nice, attached restaurant). The beds were a bit uncomfortable, though. The matresses in our room were too soft/lumpy, which made it difficult to sleep. "

"Checked in during the Ice Storm and Manager was helpful and attentive. Gave us 2 connecting rooms which was helpful as I was travelling with 2 kids. Comfy linens and bed. Would stay again for sure. "

"The cottage was very nice and fully stocked. It was perfect with young kids. The outside lawn between the 2 large maples is where we spent so much of our time playing games and running around. It has everything you need to make for a perfect stay. The addition of linens and towels were so convenient. Would absolutely stay here again!"

Outstanding Hospitality During a State of Emergenc

" We stayed at the Best Western Otonabee Inn for three nights, one night at a time, during a state of emergency caused by an ice storm. Despite the challenging circumstances, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. The team was incredibly accommodating and understanding as we navigated the uncertainty of the storm. Each time we needed to extend our stay, they handled our requests with kindness and efficiency, making us feel genuinely cared for during a difficult time. The room was clean, cozy, and a perfect haven from the freezing conditions outside. The property itself remained well-maintained despite the weather, and we were so grateful to have a warm and welcoming place to stay. We truly appreciated the staff’s dedication and professionalism throughout our stay. They made us feel safe and supported when we needed it most. We highly recommend the Best Western Otonabee Inn—not just for their excellent accommodations but for their outstanding commitment to their guests’ well-being. Thank you to the entire team for making a challenging situation so much more manageable. "
