"Our stay at Villa Cayo exceeded expectations. We stayed in one of their separate guesthouses. Sitting on the comfy Adirondack chairs watching toucans eating fruit from the tree in front of our guesthouse was magical. The property faces west so watching the sunsets with a glass of wine in the evenings was great. The guesthouse was very comfortable and impeccably cleaned. "We had a nice short stay. Place is close to town - walkable but dont attempt it midday - can be really hot. We had a couple of issues - fridge was very noisy - fan had to be replaced in the freezer. No hot water in the showers. It felt like the place was not checked before renting.. Samantha and Natasha were quick to respond and fix amost issues. "

"Lovely hotel on the river. But the best part was Jose and staff. He/they did everything possible to make our stay special. I think the bedding could use an upgrade, but all else was perfect. Rico’s restaurant on site served excellent food."

"The unit is still being developed. We liked the country setting. But the dirt roads to get there are bumpy. Good value for the price. Very friendly & helpful hosts. Water pressure in the area is extremely low, something the hosts have no control over. But that makes taking a shower a challenging task. If we go back to the Spanish Lookout area, we'd be happy to stay there again. Frank"

"The place was big, beautiful tile and wood work. No hot water, hard to find, no one to meet us, had to hunt down someone to open it. Stove did not work. Not enough blankets. Beds were uncomfortable. Neighbors were noisy until 2 p.m. Mortorcyles came by at 4:00 a.m. making a lot of noise. Would not stay there again."

"We arrived at 7:35, it was dark and kinda sketchy. We drove up a really dangerous incline and washboarded dirt road to get to a locked gate and no one answering the phone or a honk. We contacted expedia..aka....a robot....and they proceeded to tell me even though i payed the insurance for this exact reason that the people wouldnt give my money back....and they couldnt contact them yet they leave this ad for this property up. Not ok and wont be using this service again. "
