"The property was lovely and our room was great however it was a bit out of the way/secluded and you had to walk a fair distance along a road that had some dark areas to get to a ZR bus stop. Also the ocean was quite choppy in front of the property. We love to swim in the ocean but needed to walk up to Sandals area to swim as they have a breakwater. Still wasn’t totally calm there either. "

"5pm room wasn’t ready. Building is dated and tired. Air conditioning stopped working one night. Room keeping were late everyday and we were back to our room twice prior yo cleaning so we just got new towels w/o service. Pool was out of service for four days. Having them agree to an 1.5Hr late checkout was a hassle after all that. Restaurant breakfast is $36 US for a buffet. The beach is awesome. White powder sand, emerald warm water. The area has several nice restaurants within walking distance....

"The Soco Hotel was a small intimate hotel with a great location! We enjoyed the boardwalk that was directly located behind the hotel along the water. It was very safe, walking distance to restaurants, malls and other beaches. The staff, service and food were exceptional! The online photos were deceiving as the rooms and washrooms were smaller than expected. We found the cleanliness was not to hotel standards. Overall, experience was great! "

"What a fantastic place! Everyone was so lovely, and helpful, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and fell in love with Barbados. Our room was huge and comfortable, with a lovely view of the sea. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of variety. We alos enjoyed our trips to the beach in the hotel shuttle, it is stunning. We wish we'd booked for 2 weeks, and were so sad to leave. Would return in a heartbeat."

"Not quite the luxury experience we were expecting however we eventually had a great holiday once we accepted the food and organisation were not going to be up to our standards (given the price we paid). We travelled mid January -the hotel was reasonably busy but not greatly so. The catering staff are not independent thinkers. We believe they get many products pre-prepared and struggle to make adjustments to cater for diet. Despite letting the managers know about the dietary requirements when...
