"Our family of 4 stayed two nights so we could hike Elephant Rocks and Johnson's Shut-Ins. Cute little house, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Had warm weather and really enjoyed the Adirondack chairs on the front porch for morning coffee. We did discovered that being in town in March, Tuesday-Thursday, meant many businesses were not open. Checo's Mexican, Arcadia Valley Coffee, and the The Iron Mule were all delightful, and we are food/coffee snobs from Chicago :-)"

"Nice farmhouse in the country."

"Our family had such a great time at the olde homestead and we especially appreciated all of the extras like the Rec room in the garage, the fire pit, and the animals at the property. Our hosts treated us like the first guest they ever had, even after several years of hosting. The house was adorable and the proximity to the state parks was perfect! They have thought of everything and made us feel right at home!"

"Traveling with a large family is never easy, but this rental made us feel at home. Full kitchen for cooking, dining area to seat everyone, huge tv, great wi-fi, washer and dryer, fun backyard to make s’mores, and beds upstairs to sleep all our kids. We would stay here again!"

"Our family wanted somewhere to stay close to Elephant Rocks and this little house was perfect! Great area upstairs for our young kids to play and overall a comfortable home. Thank you for sharing it with us!!"

"The house was great the yard was great wished we weren’t so rushed and had the time to enjoy the surroundings. The upstairs shower was on the small side, thin walls so depends on who you are sharing the upstairs with they will hear you and front bedroom you can hear the road very well. We had long days so able to sleep through it after the first night. This is a great country house. "

"We loved a lot of things about this house. The backyard is beautiful. We enjoyed the firepit and gazebo every night. We loved that the house is nice and spacious. There is enough room for everyone with 8 beds. Kids enjoyed the bunkbeds. The kitchen is nice and spacious and has a big countertop for cooking your own meals which we did all the days we were there. "This was our second time staying at this location. Everything you need within a 10 minute drive; food , coffee, restaurants and shopping. All the activities we did were 30 minutes to an hour away... Swing Around Funtown Critter Lane Petting Zoo St. Louis Zoo Wedding was in Bloomdale Overall everything was great. The only thing we couldnt find was the high chair for the baby. "

"We loved our stay in the carriage house! Check in was a breeze and we had everything we needed. Very spacious and beautifully decorated, so much attention so detail! Loved all the outdoor seating and we visited the chicken coup before we left "

"This little place had everything you needed and more.... Record player and records, DVD and DVDs, Games. Where do you get those things in a motel?? You just don't...And the whole stay was just awesome. Please put up blinds so that the sun doesn't reflect on the TV so much... (This is not a complaint, merely a suggestion) Thank you Karli. absolutely loved it!!"

"House is comfortable, clean, and cute. Price is very reasonable. It was a great base location for our 3 days of rockhounding!We'll stay again if we visit the area!"

"We stayed in hideaway 1 for an event in the area. It was spacious for our needs. Way roomier than w hotel room and ideal if you have children that need a separate space. The property had everything we needed (and forgot) including shampoo a hair dryer and complimentary coffee. My only recommendation would be to find a space for a full size mirror. I would definitely stay here again. "

"Great little house! Perfect for what we needed. Owner was super nice and responded promptly to any questions we had. Bed was comfortable, water was nice and hot, kitchen was well furnished. We definitely recommend and would stay again. "
