"Clean warm friendly. Restaurant and pub downstairs didnt notice it being any noisy upstairs in the room. Bed was comfortable four poster. Room spacious and tall with large window viewing street below and losehill opposite worth a walk along with mam tor at the other end. Free car park opposite the hotel."

"Our stay was very comfortable and it was a great location for our stopover between Scotland and Devon. The host was very efficient, friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the en suite bathroom which had a sensor light. This made any night time toilet trips impossible to make without waking someone up with the light and extractor fan. The shower pressure was very weak & the sink was tiny. All completely clean and functional...

"The hotel area smelt of curry and beer with sticky floors, which was not a good start. The person at reception was confused why I was there, then realised I was the last person they were expecting. When I did get a key, there was silence before I asked where the rooms were. The bathroom smelt mouldy (which it was), the shower plumbing needed to be cleared as it was blocked, and the sink plug locked in place. "Weekend break to concert at Opera House and first visit to this Bed & Breakfast. Good location with car parking. Friendly and comfortable stay with excellent breakfast. Will definitely stay again if we visit Buxton in the future."
