"This house has everything needed for a perfect relaxing vacation. The house is centrally located between all the lakes. We were able to bring our boat and have it with us and the public launch is right across the lake. The house was tastefully decorated and the deck was very relaxing. We made use of the firepit by the lake several nights. Looking forward to returning next year. Will definitely book this house again. I highly recommend the Clam Cottage! "

"Spent a week at Loon Lodge for a family vacation. We had a great time kayaking, swimming, and hanging out by the water. The house had everything we needed--plenty of bath and beach towels, lots of floats and a lily pad mat, and fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. Our teens liked having their own space in the bunkhouse. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing, but close to town for necessities or a meal out. "This property is one of the best places we have ever stayed, and this was our 3rd time back! The cabin itself is well maintained and meticulously clean. It had everything we need, including coffee! There is a telescope in the Sun porch for viewing bald eagles and other wildlife, there is a ton of space in the walk out basement for our young adult kids to play games and hang out after spending a day on the water. "The host Maureen is absolutely wonderful! We were concerned about the weather for our original dates, and she let us modify it to the following long weekend where we had beautiful 80 degree days full of sunshine. We also rented the Pontoon with her local tour guide and we didn't want it to end, it's an absolute must-do! Thank you so much Maureen, my family and I loved it!"

"It was a very nice location on Torch Lake. Only had to walk 44 steps to put my feet in the water. Clean older house. There is a restaurant right next door that we could walk to. That was convention. Good regular food. Good communication with the owner. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. We thought the cottage was right on the beach, but it’s a short walk to a shared beach amongst the other cottages/homes on the property, but it wasn’t an issue for us. There is no A/C either if that is something you require. Again it wasn’t a problem to us. Overall it was exactly how it was described and we enjoyed the cabin."

"The lake location and the gorgeous surroundings were outstanding; off-scale really. Perhaps one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. "All the amenities one might need for a great stay in northern Michigan. Clean, with plenty of space for sleeping, two beautiful bathrooms, and a well-stocked kitchen. We loved the fireplace and overall, had a very short and very sweet stay. I would be happy to return. The only possible downside was 4pm check-in and 10 am checkout. We knew this going in so no big deal. Great spot in a great part of Michigan. "
