"Got in too late to go anywhere from the airport so stayed here one night. Very pretty interior courtyard with a pool, they have a restaurant and a bar in the interior courtyard, plus a coffee shop & wine shop in the front area. It's only a few minutes (10-15) from the airport and a great place to stay if you need to stay the night before coming or going to BZE airport. They also have an airport shuttle instead of taking a taxi. Just make arrangements ahead of time."

"The Black Orchid is a beautiful property. The staff was amazing and the grounds stunning. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night, but we enjoyed the pool, grounds, and hearing the howler monkeys was an unexpected treat. "

"My daughter and I traveled to Belize together for a homeschool getaway/ Christmas present! I was leery about this trip as it would just be her and I - no men- and it’s Central America after all. Cathy and Dan (the owners) were fabulous hosts, who were on site and available the entire duration. Ms Cathy or Ms Vinnie (the most beautiful and kind soul) were up and ready to prepare us breakfast every morning (at the requested time no less!) We really came to enjoy and look forward to our first meal of each day - as it got us off to a great start! Delicious! Ms Cathy turned us on to our driver … Toni… who my daughter and I used all week long. Toni was an excellent addition to our daily excursions! He picked us up and brought us back daily from our different destinations and outtings! The trip was amazing as a whole, but having a safe haven, good cooking and a reliable driver really catapulted our experience. We cannot thank you enough for your beautiful hospitality and care. "We had to book our stay here last minute due to a flight cancellation, but we were very pleased by the accommodations. The rooms are spacious and clean and are equipped with a kitchenette including gas range, oven, and fridge. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Mr. Kevin and Ms. Janelle were incredibly accommodating and made sure our stay was a pleasant one. I highly reccomend this resort, jith as a vactaion spot but also as a great place to stay overnight before or after a flight through Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize City. 5/5 stars"
