"Perfect location and views. Great proximity to Beech Mtn. Plenty of space. However, property furnishings were extremely worn and needed to be thrown out. Pillows in tatters, couches and chairs were gross. Coffeemakers were all broken. This property definitely needs a makeover. If that bothers you, you’ll want to stay somewhere else."

"The house is beautiful! We had a great stay and would stay again, but probably not in winter. The driveway is very steep and when we were there it was covered in thick ice as were the porch and steps leading into the house. We had 4 wheel drive and still had difficulty driving up. I also slipped and fell more than once on the ice, The heat in the downstairs bedroom was not working, someone came to check it and left us space heaters which did keep it warm."

"Not cleaned an arrival and some amenities were not working. After repeated calls for maintenance repair where calls were not returned our 3 day stay was without some amenities. Calls that were answered said problem was fixed, but upon returning to cabin that was not true. called again and said they would be there in about 35 minutes. 2 and 1/2 hours later called and they told me the maintenance man's truck broke down and they couldn't get to me. Was totally disgusted as this went on for our 3...

"Our church group had a great time at the cabin. It is definitely large enough for 30 people with plenty of parking spots. Definitely recommend for those looking to go as a large group. Plus location is great as it is very close for things skiing or sledding. "

"The home is so unique in its design with a loft fit for Heidi, an old children’s book written by Spyri. The grandsons were immediately drawn to the loft, and the children’s furniture enhances its intrigue. Two bedrooms and baths downstairs provide excellent creature comfort for the adults and the great room encompassing the kitchen, dining room, and living room with the massive stone fireplace provides a warm and perfect environment for socializing. "This was our first trip to Beech Mountain and we could not have loved it more! Having a place in walking distance but still far enough away to be quaint and quiet, and enjoying the beautiful white winter scenes and wildlife was perfect!
