"We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, situated in a remarkably quiet area, just a 30-minute drive from the historic town of Melford. Our Large Principal Double, featuring exposed old beams and a dome-like ceiling, was tastefully decorated and had a generous, very comfortable bed. The service was both professional and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and beautifully presented dinner and breakfast. "

We took a chance on an early check in and the team were calm and relaxed and were very helpful, we booked breakfast which was superb value and utterly delicious- great veggie breakfast and good coffee and extras available. We stayed in a lodge room, which was perfectly adequate- comfy bed and free WiFi. A few areas to improve from a decorative point of view but a good value and relaxing stay. "

"2 night stay, arriving on a Sunday early evening, check in was great, lovely staff, advised us that there were free canapés for guests at 6.45, we had a wonderful meal in the restaurant, there was a choice of roast or other items off the menu. Our room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast in the morning had a good choice of cold buffet style items and also you could order hot food from the breakfast menu. There was a friendly bar area for the evenings and a nice outside seating area too. All in all a lovely stay. "
