The food was nothing short of outstanding—honestly, some of the best we’ve ever had. Every meal felt like a fine dining experience, with flavors that left a lasting impression. The staff were exceptional—attentive, warm, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure a memorable stay. Their service was impeccable, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our visit was the rooftop cocktail bar. The drinks were absolutely top-tier—some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had, with unique flavors and expert craftsmanship. All in all, The Neela exceeded every expectation, offering luxury, incredible service, and an unforgettable experience in Stone Town. Highly recommended!"

"Lovely property in a quiet corner of Stonetown. Great swimming pool. Historic quality of hotel added a charming feel. Most rooms overlook the ocean. The amenities were complete and the room was very comfortable. Spend a little extra to get an outside balcony or verandah. The staff was wonderful and helpful. There are lots of restaurants nearby. I can't speak for the food at the on property restaurant since I had to leave early and skipped the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again on a Stonetown visit. "

"Very close to the airport but a great distance from everything else (Beach, Restaurants etc). Property does not have a beach. In-house restaurant and breakfast was quite good."
