"We thought the hosts were really lovely and the location of the guesthouse was ideal for us for walking. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. However, we had a downstairs room and seemed to have been really unlucky with the guests upstairs who woke us up every hour during the night. "We loved our stay at the lodge. It was very well equipped and the location is beautiful. The hosts were super helpful with their communications. The lodge itself is a little tired looking but this didn't bother us. It was clean & tidy though. The location is very calm & peaceful but no amenities within easy walking distance. Again, this didn't bother us as we enjoyed the peace & quiet. "

"Spent a week there with family and dogs. Very clean and everything you could need The views are beautiful. One thing to note, if you take a dog make sure you have long leads and a torch, as nowhere enclosed to let them off before bed or first thing. Both bathrooms are en-suite as well as opening to the corridor which was a peek we didn’t expect. The perfect place for a relaxing family trip and highly recommend. "
