"What a lovely little Gem of a place, with lovely quirky rooms, and a really nice coffee machine and biscuits in the room, the breakfast was wonderful, freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. The cafe/cocktail bar down stairs was really lovely and relaxing with yummy cakes, and great cocktails in the evening, had a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend as very convenient for shops and seaside."

"Disappointing stay (Joss room) which was a shame as location was perfect for me. Shower was broken, was offered communal shower but on close inspection I decided not to use. Blind in room doesn’t close properly, lots of light coming in, very noisy fountain out front which you can still hear with windows closed. Very poor Wi-Fi. Pub itself was lovely, staff friendly, no food on Mondays though."

"Actually, I was sick the entire time I was there, not the fault of the Black Horse. However, the parking situation is terrible. While sick, I had to move the car several times. Unfortunately I did have noisy people in adjoining rooms who played loud music and the room the other side had tv on loud but that’s the lack of concern for others that’s all too common now and not the fault of the guest house. "Our suite had amazing views and plenty of space for us to relax in. Check in/out was simple and reception staff were helpful and friendly. The lounge area did have damp in it, which i think is being tackled by a heating unit. We wouldve appreciated cutlery besides teaspoons, tools to wash up (plates, bowls, microwave provided and room adverised as having a kitchenette).
