"Great location and easy parking (discounted rate provided at hotel - simply park up and pay at Reception). Our room was spacious and comfortable with double aspect windows looking out towards the river. Could do with a little TLC (extractor fan not working in the bathroom and toilet flush not great!) but nothing that affected our stay. "I like its history and the Staff are excellent. I disliked: a) Wasting so much milk. I only needed a small spoonful. b) Morning shower.......the water was tepid at the most despite the fact that I reported it and was assured it would be better next day. c) Noisy, especially on Friday night. I could feel the bedroom floor vibrating. d) I found the dinner menu very limited after the first evening. "

"We were greeted with a big smile and enjoyed friendly service throughout our stay. Our room was clean, warm and very comfortable. "A very comfortable 3 day stay in this Village Inn with very warm welcome and friendliness throughout - informal but professional. Cleanliness of both room and bathroom excellent with some extras provided in both. Food and menu also excellent. Ideal location to visit Canterbury (Park and Ride close by and very easy) and nearby coast. A lovely stay. "

"Very cute place with uniquely designed, quirky rooms. I loved it! I really appreciated all the thoughtful touches (fudge, cold milk, port, selection of teas and coffee). I needed to leave earlier than breakfast was served, so was provided with a breakfast hamper, which was absolutely wonderful! Very, very good service in the restaurant too. "

"The room had excellent facilities, was attractively furnished in keeping with an historic building and village and spacious. Staff were kind and considerate and thoughtful, much appreciatrd as we are in 80s. Menu allowed for variety of choice, food well presented. Highly recommend New Flying Horse to.all and commend owners for such a high class. well run business at reasonable price "

"Absolutely fantastic suite to just relax and look out of the window and watch the sea. Brilliant High Street with lots of wonderful shops near by. Will definitely be booking again but maybe for a longer stay."

"We are a group of 8 ladies enjoying a weekend away and we had a wonderful weekend at Downs Cottage. The property was perfect… comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, superb location, sauna was a bonus and the garden was very pretty. Deal itself was a very welcoming town, friendly people. We’d recommend Margarita’s for take away pizza and Mike’s Bikes for cycle hire. Walking distance into Deal from the cottage was about 30mins, which along the seafront was no time at all.
