"We had a great stay at the Cozy Inn, Otaru. Building is very well laid out, and rooms were fairly sizeable, new and clean. There isn't much of a common area, or kitchen etc but that's fine as there is lots in the area. Staff was super friendly and helpful, it's one of those properties we wish we would have stayed longer."

"A quiet and peaceful hotel that has modern vibes. There is a free wine hour at the bar that I was able to get. It was really nice to hang out and have a glass of wine to wind down after venturing around and exploring. I also received a free drink ticket. The drinks were limited but I still appreciated getting this "VIP" experience. I loved the vibes of the hotel and my room was very nice. "

"The 2 bedroom apartment is very spacious, well equipped and clean. Also love the public onsen and easy access to the ski trails. The only thing to complain is the limited selection of food and grocery supplies near the hotel (no convenience stores and lack of dinner choices except hotel restaurant which is just average or 30 minutes drive to Otaru city). But overall still a good bargain at low season. Not sure about prices in high ski season though."

"The hotel is conveniently located just around the corner from Kotoni station, which is just very close to Sapporo station. When we arrived, my friends asked for a recommendation for a place for lumch and the front desk staff gave a really good recommendation just 3 mins away from the hotel. Also they put our luggage in our room while we had lunch. There's a 7eleven nearby and also a lot of izakayas and restaurants around so you won't run out options for late night snacks. "Love this hotel, it is reasonably priced but the quality and service exceeded all my expectations. There is an entrance to the underground tunnel network linking to metro and JR. The club lounge is as good as what a 5-star hotel may offer, breakfast is of decent quality. Most importantly, the room is of good size by Japan standards, it is comfortable and clean. This will be the only hotel I will stay if I return to Sapporo!"

"Great position there was a bus stop right outside when we got the bus from airport and when you leave bus stop on next block. This was convenient considering the weather. Check in was good we had a room on the twentieth floor overlooking the city which was great to watch the weather roll in. A lot of the sights were only a short walk and main train station was about 10 minute walk. Room was comfortable twin beds with space under beds to put stuff to make more room. The hotel was more European than japanese. Breakfast was excellent so many choices from local to western food. My husband especially like the smoked salmon and caviar"

Toyoko Inn Hokkaido Sapporo Station Kita

"Self check in was very easy, and they gladly held our bags because we were early. Room was a little tight/small, but it was clean. We got a smoking room for some reason, so there was a noticeable (but not too heavy) smell of smoke. They provided a room and clothing spray, which was very thoughtful and we used it often. It's located very close to the train station so it was easy to get around. The free breakfast had a great spread of Japanese foods and some Western foods."

"The staff was very professional and accommodating in every way. They went out of their way to assist in helping park my car. They were also kind enough to let us know that due to the number of individuals staying at the hotel. It would be a good idea to come earlier for breakfast, Doing the saved us a lot of time, as we left we noted the large number of folks queuing for food. The interior of the hotel is a bit older, there was construction going on during the core hours of the working day, and certain items in the room did not work like the radio that’s built into the bed. I’m not sure if this is simply due to the age of the item or the functional operational abilities. Overall, it was a great place for a quick stay in the city. "
