"We come here almost every year for my daughter‘s birthday, which she requests every year. And she loves to stay in the farmhouse because all the animals are nearby. You can meet Mr. Walton at the barn in the mornings and help feed the animals and visit the horses. There’s a fun treasure hunt and fairy forest. We have also stayed at the nest in the past and had a great time, but my daughter likes being down at the farmhouse with all of the animals, especially Piper who would visit us every day....

"Very peaceful and private. The street is quite busy and noisy but the view of the stars and the orchestra from the bull frogs around the pond made you forget about that. Was a nice quick get away!"

"Beautiful property, fully stocked with everything you may need; roomy, clean, beautifully designed and decorated. Short distance to Boone and Blowing Rock, but still isolated from the noise and traffic."

"We loved being here and hope to return one day. It was a perfect getaway in a perfect location at the beginning of the Virginia Creeper Trail.The farmhouse was great with nice hot showers, outside fire pit and grill, plenty of games, TV, towels , relaxing porches, night time stars, and room to relax. We saw plenty of deer in our brief time there . Communication with the owner was easy as we both texted and called. Access to the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands and the views on Whitetop were...

"I specialize in the identification and removal of mold and other hazardous materials in hospitals and sensitive areas. There was visible mold, active leaks, and the smell of mildew throughout. The pictures were very misleading. The real problem here is we were visiting the area for an industry event (healthcare construction) and I brought a representative from a local healthcare facility who just so happened to be immunocompromised and battling cancer. Thats not a good look. I won't stay here...

"This was a great cozy cabin very close to Mast General Store. It was convenient to get to Boone and Hawksnest as well. Great decor, full kitchen and balcony."
