"The property was great and the stay was really nice. The location of the property was really good, just a few steps from Piazza del Campo. Siena was the highlight of our two week trip.. what an amazing medieval city. If you are visiting for the first time and driving, pay attention to the instructions from your hotel as it could be very confusing. There are 9 gates to enter the city and there are some real strict guidelines of how and where to park and exit. It’s easy to miss if you are not...

It’s very well done, with thoughtful touches, and the owner was very responsive to any questions and queries (e.g. restaurants, wine tours) both before we arrived and whilst we were there. It’s a self check-in accommodation so you get clear instructions on how to access the building and accommodation, as it’s a medieval building which makes it even more interesting."

There is a local transit bus that can get you to town if you aren't driving. The breakfasts had a good selection of items and were available until 10 am every day. "The host is excellent, the property is wonderful, spacious parking for six vehicles inside an anient iron and brick fence, ancient house with gorgeous and spacious interior, high ceilings, balcony with a spectacular view of the Tuscany countryside, and a fourteen minute drive from paid parking in the historic city center of Siena. Unbelievably, incredibly wonderful place! Wish I could have stayed for longer. "

"Room was exactly as described. The view was breathe-taking. Too narrow a window for check-in (2-4)pm, especially when arriving by train and trying to find the ever elusive taxis in Siena. There are 3 flights of stairs to handle and no elevator, but this is typical for older hotels in Italy. WiFi would have been nice."

"We stayed there at a cold (0 degrees C) winter day. The room was quite cold, the heating was off during most of the day and night and we barely slept. When we pointed this out to the receptionist/owner, he responded in a very rude way and insulted us. The breakfast was quite bad as well with stale bread and croissants."
