"Everything was perfectly fine. The staff didn't speak English, as is common in Ecuador, but using Google Translate worked fine. The property is just around the corner from the Planetario, which was worth the quick trip. It is within a 15-minute walk from the Cathedral. I craved junk food while I was there, and McDonald's is a block away. Good salads. The receptionist told me my room was small and offered another, but it was on the ground floor, so - no stairway. I was just a party of one, so...

"Beautiful property! Very conveniently located right in the Old City. Very walkable, safe, lots of options for dining & shopping. Stayed with family & loved out time Cuenca is beautiful and local gem is a must! Very nice family owns it and they do everything to assure you have the best time there. Breakfast is great in am.
