""Selah" means to "stop and listen". The property is well-named...simply wonderful. We enjoyed lake views & walks amongst the deer. The home is just as advertised. The rooms are spacious, each with its own bathroom. The floorplan is conducive to multifamily/multi-ages. We had several dads and college fishermen and I never heard their early a.m. departures. The main-floor bunkroom was convenient for the team boys. We didn't utilize any of the fun stuff--there is a game room, a kids' play room...

"Absolutely great place to enjoy the peace and serenity of a lakefront retreat. Hugely spacious A-frame house with kitchen and baths that contribute to your comfort. Hosts, Donna & Paul, offered friendly waves & hellos, there if you need them, leave you to yourself if you choose. We stayed with our 12-year old standard poodle (we adopted him five years ago) and he and we enjoyed the large property and the wonderful deer passing through. Great place, highly recommended. "The home is a peaceful and serene area very close to the lake. We spent a lot of time walking the area, enjoying nature. We spent one afternoon in Jefferson, which is only 30 minutes away. The beds were comfortable, and the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in each shower were convenient. The kitchen had most of the items we needed, and the Ninja coffee maker was excellent. We were sad to leave and are already planning a trip back!"

"All I can say is WOW! Frank and Linda are absolutely great folks and the view from the back porch was beautiful! Linda was so thoughtful and had baked muffins, cookies, and an anniversary package for us! Btw her baking skills are level 10! I very much enjoyed visiting with Frank at our check in. The proposer was PEACEFUL exactly what we were looking for. We will 100% be making a return visit to this gem in east texas. "

"We only stayed one night, but such a nice place for little more than a hotel room would have cost. We'll probably be back again and stay longer if we can arrange the travel in warmer weather. The property is large and scenic so would love to have a couple days to explore and relax here."

"This is a great property. If I could change anything about it; it would be to update the king matress. It was uncomfortable, but such an easy fix. I would highly recommend this place. "My boys and I stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday and it was just what we needed. Even though there was a freeze warning at night while we were there, the house was nice and warm! The house had everything we needed, and the fenced in yard was perfect for our dog! The weather was great during the day and we drove to Caddo Lake a couple times and ate in Jefferson. The Lake Cafe had wonderful breakfast! We will definitely be back! "
