"A well maintained and renovated heritage property. Lack of air conditioning was fairly severe in the heat of December - ventilation is unimproved beyond a single window and fans were not very effective. We purchased an extension cord ourselves to get the floor base fan over by the window."

"While we checked in after hours management was available by house phone at the entrance and gave us instructions for getting the cabin key as well as a nice map to the cabin. He also recommended a nice restaurant in the city center. "

"Staying in a cabin in a rainforest is always going to be unique. The cabin was well equipped and spacious. The dining system worked well and our hostess was knowledgeable and helpful. We particularly liked the walk available around the property which was marked out by pink ribbons. "

"Hillview House is a unique old guesthouse, rooms are a good size, comfortable and nicely decorated with ensuite bathroom, views of the hills & city.Well maintained , pretty breakfast room with continental breakfast provisions.A pleasure to stay in such an old but sturdy historical building.Glad the old fireplaces were kept , even in bedrooms, as a feature but not used."

"This exceeded all expectations. I was concerned upon booking that the actual experience and rooms might be overhyped or a bit silly, but everything was just incredible. One of my best stays in Australia by far. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. You were receiving 5 star treatment throughout. The rooms are stunning and nothing beats opening the curtains at sunrise to 3 zebra walking by your patio. I felt transported to Africa. You won't regret booking it. The Zoo itself is...
