The Severn Bridge (Welsh: Pont Hafren), sometimes also called the Severn–Wye Bridge, is a motorway suspension bridge spanning the River Severn and River Wye between Aust, South Gloucestershire (just north of Bristol) in England, and Chepstow, Monmouthshire in South East Wales, via Beachley, Gloucestershire, a peninsula between the two rivers. It is the original Severn road crossing between England and Wales and took three and half years[3] to construct at a cost of £8 million.[4] It replaced the Aust ferry.

The bridge was opened on 8 September 1966, by Queen Elizabeth II, who hailed it as the dawn of a new economic era for South Wales. The bridge was granted Grade I listed status on 26 November 1999.[5]

From 1966 to 1996, the bridge carried the M4 motorway. Upon the completion of the Second Severn Crossing, the motorway from Olveston (England) to Magor (Wales) was renamed the M48.

"A beautiful hotel. Felt luxurious and special. The spa is stunning and so much better than the Thermae Spa. I was actually quite gutted that I spent additional money to go there. Stunning interiors and beautiful rooms. I will come back and I will recommend. "

"The support from the front of house staff is 5 stars. There was a few minor issues that I experienced for my first ever visit to this hotel. 1. There was some hairs on the bed which I had to manually pick up one by one. So this means, the room may not have been cleaned correctly. 2. The coffee machine was not working, luckily I found the plug was not connected. If the room was checked prior guest arrival this could have been corrected. 3. The ensuite bathroom doesn't have a door to close, so when you have a shower you will inadvertently partially flood the floor. 4. There is wireless charging capability on pods integrated into the small desk side cabinets but these didn't work. 5. I didn't find any available sockets to plug my laptop in to work from. So I had to unplug the kettle and use that outlet. There should be at least a minimum of 1 plug socket on each side of the bed. 6. The shower room has a vanity mirror that is supposed to have an LED strip that is supposed to light up but this didn't work. 7. There is limited coffee options, 4 pods are supplied and this isn't alot for heavy coffee drinkers. It would also nice to have other options like mocha. Please note I am only highlighting small issues, I wouldn't say this affected my stay majorly, as it was only one day."
