"The apartment is well situated for walking to town center and the beach front. Car parking was available and more than adequate. Facilities in the apartment were comfortable and more than enough for 2 guests. The heating system needed some attention but I was quickly helped by Ian and we got things running again. We would suggest the inclusion of at least 1 toilet roll , we travelled from the Netherlands and preferred not to go directly to the supermarket. Other than that we had a great stay."

"Beautiful spacious 2 bed flat. Everything you need for a home away from home. Close to amenities. Very easy to access on arrival. No need to meet someone to get keys. Would recommend. Only thing I would add is to request WiFi password. I couldn’t find it in the book that gives you the information of surrounding area or written down somewhere. Maybe I just couldn’t see it. "

"Great location but my stay was disappointing to say the least. I was the only resident. The hot water in bathroom and kitchen was a trickle and almost non existent. The bedroom TV was inoperable. The worst issue was the shower! It did not work. I had three local friends attempting to operate but it would not turn on. I had to go to a friend’s house to shower. It was frustrating. I emailed owner but they never responded to my complaint. I would have thought they would have checked in to see how...

"Beautiful property within walking distance of restaurants, takeouts, stores and pubs. All in all a great stay since being there for 5 nights we had a kitchen/fridge/dining table and living room - especially since most breakfast restaurants are not open until 9am. Had some questions about the hot water and the owner was responsive and helpful. Only complaint was too many stairs for us with luggage since I am diabetic and had a broken shoulder. Wasn't a problem without our luggage."

"Going back decades, my late mother was Head Cook at Western House - so it was a bit of a pilgrimage .. and yes, a privilege to return as a hotel guest when I happened to be back in Ayr. A delightful room on the edge of but very close to the centre of town and situated on the side of Ayr Racecourse. In every way, the place ticks the boxes, offers impressive value for money - and full marks to the kitchen and dining room staff: the cuisine is fresh, prepared and presented with care - and, all in all, top notch 👍"
