"A truly stunning setting, with well appointed rooms. I arrived late and was not able to enjoy all facilities. The late menu too 'heavy'. I would have remarkeda perfect stay had I been troubled by the lead at breakfast. Still - I would return."

Our main issue was the service in the restaurant and the prices of the food. €45 for steak before sides is very steep and especially in a restaurant where the staff are dressed super casual and not very attentive. While the food we got was tasty, the prices just don’t fit with the casual feel of the hotel. "

"Staff very friendly & helpful. Water in the taps was lukewarm not cold and the food in the bar was excellent but was charged full menu price instead of the early bird offer. Would Stay again as very convenient if visiting Athlone."

"Nice functional hotel. Good sleep (bar being woken up at 2am by a loud man on corridor but that's not the hotels fault) Breakfast fine; nothing exceptional. Only negative really was that the water in shower was too hot. Spoke to reception twice (morning and evening) but to no avail. Water too hot & couldn't be changed second morning again. Gym & pool look lovely: I hadn't time. "
