"Sato san and Nora san were the perfect hosts for our 4-night stay. Food was very good and the pension was warm and cozy. "Very nice and helpful English speaking member of staff. However, the room felt very similar to a youth hostel. The room was incredibly cramped and dated. The lighting in bathroom was so dim it was impossible to have a bath with the door closed as would be in darkness. There were polystyrene panels blocking up a wall from our room to next door, which meant we could hear everything that was going on, and vice versa. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, but we were only able to have it at 8.00...

"I was very surprised at how spacious the rooms were compared to other typical Japanese hotels. The accommodations were dates, but clean, cozy and great views. The onsen experience was fantastic and the convenience to the slopes is the biggest plus."
