"Natural Hot Springs Dormy Inn is always our #1 choice when we visit Morioka. It’s in a very convenient location to visit many museums and points of attraction in downtown Morioka. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and very understanding with my limited Japanese. They are also very responsive to messages on apps or emails. The hot springs are very nice and always clean. I like how there are 3 different temperatures baths and some are open air but your privacy is maintained. The hotel offers a lot of little perks like a welcome beverage and a late night snack as well as welcome desserts in room. "

"Sato san and Nora san were the perfect hosts for our 4-night stay. Food was very good and the pension was warm and cozy. Our room was spacious enough and had a wonderful view of sunrise and even part of Mt Iwaki. Our room package came with daily breakfast and dinner. We felt we were staying with good friends and every dinner was pleasantly spent with Sato san, Nora san and fellow guests. Bon-chan was a delightful addition to the experience too. Sato san and Kazu san took turns to send or pick us to and from the APPI Plaza, which was only about 3 minutes' drive away. Sato san has a cool style, and is a creative person who cooks very well too. His pension has touches of his art and his philosophy of life is beautful. I highly recommend this pension to anyone who wants to ski at APPI Kogen. We rented his ski gear which were of good quality but at a fraction of the price at the APPI Plaza rental place. "

Their dedication and care are evident in every detail. They were incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel truly at home. The accommodations were very comfortable, offering a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely delightful – so plentiful and delicious, with a great variety to start the day right. The onsen was also fantastic, providing the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. I am so glad I chose this place and will definitely be returning on my next trip. "The hotel is dated but nice. I prefer the mountain view rooms as they have been updated recently. The beds are quite hard so the tatami mats are the better option. The onsen are very relaxing and my skin feels incredibly soft after each visit. The breakfast buffet has a good selection of both western and eastern style dishes. "
