"Owner very friendly. I use a walking stick and the stairs were so steep and dangerous. I didn’t realise toilet was shared and would not have booked it if I realised it could be shared with 8 people. No shower, just a bath. Church next door and clanged every half hour through the night. At 7am it rang for ages. Breakfast very nice but dinner not brilliant. Had lamb chops, just 3 very not nice chops and not cheap. "

"Lovely hotel in a village just a few miles from Venlo. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. I had one of the best nights sleep in months. Breakfast was served downstairs in the restaurant and the cold meats, cheese etc served on a platter, with the bread, croissants etc in a separate basket. Plenty for two people "

"Hotel room was sparse and utilitarian. It is not a room for comfort. The bed and pillow was very comfortable. Shower room large and good power. Mood lighting controlled by a remote control. Tea coffee facilities in room. No bathrobe provided although this is a spa facility. Towels in room can be used for spa but they are not bath sized. "It was an overall great experience, very friendly staff, comfortable abd charming room, quite spacious, with everything in it to feel at home after a long travel; nice home-made dinner and a variety for breakfast. "Very pleasantly surprised as the photos on the website didn’t do this hotel justice. The grounds, decor and general standard was very high and staff all very professional. "I did find the room, although clean, one of the most uncomfortable I have had. Pillow was horrible and the bedding not much better. Could really use a little modernisation but most of all, lose the pillows for better ones, horrible nights sleep."

"Have to say we loved everything about our stay at Maasparel Nextdoor. The town of Arcen is lovely. Our room was clean, with great décor, comfortable beds and a awesome view of the river. The food for breakfast was delicious as well. By far the very best part of our stay was the friendly staff. Lisa and her team were warm, welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. We could not have been happier with our 2 night stay. "

"Been here before. The price/ quality very good. Well organized, friendly. Doesn’t look too inviting when driving to the hotel but it’s fine. Very good stop over. We have rebooked for our return. Shopping center just down the road and. dry convenient for the motorway. Also nice and quiet. Thumbs up."

Gorgeous hotel with fantastic service

"Probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Currently trying to find a similar matress to upgrade our bed at home. Beautiful rooms, very spacious and cozy vibe. The whole area is lovely, and we got a room with a view over large pond/small lake. Fantastic service from the staff, and incredibly friendly. We didnt get a chance to try the breakfast or dinner at the restaurant, but hoping well be able to next time we stay."

Fabulous on-site facilities

"The trip was amazing. Easy check-in. We were slightly early, however the staff accommodated us. Staff were friendly and professional. Rooms were absolutely fabulous. On-site facilities were out of this world, e.g. fitness centre and swimming pool. Bar was great too with service to one's table. Would definitely return. Very highly recommended."

Short visit

"Easy, friendly check in. We were early but left our luggage at reception, and still got our room earlier than check in time! Breakfast was delicious, plenty to choose from, the pancakes were yummy! Rooms very comfortable and was great having a bath and a separate shower. So close to the centre too! Would stay here again for sure."

"Short but very comfortable stay . Would have loved to have walked from the grounds into neighboring countryside and hired bikes for the cycle paths- but weather put that idea out the window. Food and options for food were excellent and vast. Staff were very professional and charming . Hope to visit again soon."
