"On arrival, we met a very helpful member of staff who checked us in quickly and he very kindly booked a table for us to dine in the restaurant that evening. He also provided a small flask of milk for the room, which was a very nice touch. This was our second visit to this hotel and although the rooms are quite compact, they are clean and comfortable and have everything you need for a short stay. There was a generous supply of coffee and tea sachets in the room (lovely speciality coffee) and delicious chocolates. We enjoyed a relaxing meal in the restaurant and we would rate both the food and service as excellent. Breakfast was also very good, served by a charming and cheerful staff member. Indeed all the staff at this hotel are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We can highly recommend this hotel and we hope to visit again soon."

"We travelled down late from Scotland and spoke to Andy on our way. He was so hospitable and friendly; he went above and beyond to make sure our stay went smoothly. He even left a snack for us due to the length of our journey and late arrival. "

"Stayed 1 night in September 2024. As a frequent traveller, I always ask hotels for a Ground Floor room, near to reception, as I have three heavy bags to carry. Usually this request is ignored, but on this occasion, the allocated room was ideal. Very helpful 👍 Good size room, nice breakfast selection. Lovely grounds. Only downside was the bathroom had no heating, and was quite cold. Overall, very pleased, and will book again. "
