"A very comfy room and the few staff we met were great. Breakfast was excellent and Heather was a gem! A bit disappointing that the hotel is closed apart from the rooms and breakfast service. It’s not that evident when you book so maybe they should make it more obvious. Parking was free in the car park 100 yds away but only for 24hrs at a time. So we parked there through the day and then moved the car to the street outside the hotel which has free parking from 17:30 to 09:00. Our only concern was the fact one person left the front door open twice and with no staff at the hotel we felt a little vulnerable. We would stay again though. "

"Stayed for 2 nights Fri/Sat, booked dinner for the Fri as we didn’t want to drive out anywhere. The food was amazing! So nice we booked dinner again for the Sat night. Took off Saturday morning to do the local parkrun but managed to get back before breakfast finished, although we cut it fine the staff were amazing and looked after us and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were amazingly well decorated and the hotel looks fab, whoever does the interior design has a great eye! The only thing I’d wish they had was a spa, would have loved a sauna or steam room to chill in. Brilliant stay though"

"Warm greeting from Alison set the tone for this delightful small hotel. A cosy room with a comfy bed, great shower and a fantastic view over the sea. It's a fair way from restaurants so you need to drive into Berwick where there are great places to choose from. We had a great Turkish meal at Mavi. Highly recommend this hotel. "

"We stayed one night on our way to Scotland. The hotel is easy to find on the outskirts of Berwick upon Tweed and is located in beautiful grounds. On arrival we were made to feel welcome and check-in was simple. Our room was lovely, very big with a large en suite and a view over the gardens on the "pods". As others have commented the rooms are not totally sound proof, but we weren't bothered by the noise. We slept well in a very comfortable bed. Dinner was excellent. The food was very tasty and the staff extremely friendly. There was a large menu and it was difficult to know what to choose. We ate in the same room for breakfast. There was everything we needed with a small buffet and a good choice of hot dishes. We were in a rush so didn't have anything fancy or too large but it was everything we needed before setting off. If we were in the area we would definitely stay here again."
