"Great 5 star hotel in the Old Quarter Hanoi . A great Roaring Twenties motif with amazing era furnishings. Rooftop bar and pool and a great spa downstairs. Perfectly located near all the activities in the Old Quarter. Great dining room with excellent food. The very best thing is the staff at all levels. The concierge staff are fantastic. They will find you , provide you or fix anything and everything you need . I have to mention Camellia , while everyone was wonderful she is amazing , beyond 5 star service ! Thank you Grande Hotel du lac , you made Hanoi a must return."

"I have stayed at the best hotels in the world for business when I travel overseas to Asia. This was by far my favorite hotel. The staff was wonderful and I felt so secure and taken care of traveling alone for business. The area was fun and walkable to beautiful landmarks and tourist stops. The decor was stunning. My room was small with no view- but was perfect to decompress from the busy city. The bed was so comfortable. The food was really good. It should be a 5 star hotel. It is locally owned, and the staff took such great care of me with helping me with taxis and booking and excursion on my day off. Thank you all so much for making me feel safe and welcomed. "
