"I love that this hotel was completely different than what I expected. Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised by the bed & breakfast style of the hotel and the nostalgic memorabilia displayed throughout the hotel as well. The staff was very informative and accommodating to my needs while speaking english. I felt right at home. The free hot chocolate was delicious which I sipped graciously in the living room after a hot soak in the private onsen. I had such a relaxing experience. I am looking forward to visiting Yufuin again and returning to this hotel! "

"직원분들은 대체로 친절 했으나 석식 조식을 가져가 주시는 나이 많은 여직원분은 친절하지 않았음 가이세키와 조식은 아쉬웠지만 평을 보고 감안하고 간것이라 괜찮았고 동네자체가 너무 이쁘고 제대로 힐링이었다 아마가세 자체가 너무나 이쁘고 역에 계신 아주머니 직원분 넘넘 친절하셨고 그분이 아마가게의 좋은 기억이 8할 이상 하신듯,! 송영버스는 미리 예약하지 않아도 역에 도착하면 그 직원분께서 숙소로 전화해주신다"

"Everything is perfect! Staff is so awesome & Ryokan is well maintained. Only concerns are internet connection is bad & the constant phone call buzzing. Our check out is 10am but by 9:40am they’d started buzzing us."

"Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."
