"Some positives; very friendly and helpful staff, less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. Short walk to the mall, shopping, and center of town which has an abundance of Christmas Markets this time of year. The room has a small kitchenette which was very nice. Bathroom shower pressure great. Some cons; overall aesthetic of the hotel seemed old, bed was uncomfortable, very minimal stocking of basic supplies ( had to purchase coffee filters for the coffee maker, purchased dish soap, only...

"We stayed for 3 nights in December, the breakfast was good and never busy, staff checking us in wet friendly and polite and spoke multiple languages. The areas itself is ok, it's near a tram stop into the centre of Basel and within close enough proximity to local amenities such as the Co-op to stock up on some essentials for cooking. The apartment was a good size with hob, microwave and fridge / freezer included which was handy. A bit disappointed with the pool area, it could use a refresh to...

"It was fine but I wouldn’t call it 4* given that the beds weren’t made up and we had to throw our rubbish away at the end. pool didn’t look so clean but water was warm. "

"Good value for money. For families, it’s nice to have a two BR apartment. With a car or a bike, it’s a great location for the Christmas markets and the vineyards. Warm pool and sauna are nice too."

"The way the bath and shower had been designed is just inacceptable : it is just impossible to take your shower without banging your head on the ceiling which is very low. In the room next to ours, it was the same! You cannot 5* to a hotel, where you do not have the possibility to take a shower in normal conditions, this is the basics ."
