"Although in a great location with good amenities close at hand the apartment was lacking in home comforts, particularly uncomfortable furniture, torn upholstery on the settee. Overall very basic."

"Casa Belavista is a wonderful property. It has everything. Inside it’s spacious, very well presented and well equipped. Outside it has a lovely large pool, and a large and beautifully maintained garden with a beautiful vista. It’s so quiet and peaceful and a great place to escape and unwind, but accessible to many places such as Coimbra, Lousã and the stunning hill villages of that region. The host couldn’t have been more helpful. We’re so glad we chose and stayed at the property."

"Maison très agréable et à proximité de tout commerces. Nous avons pu visiter les alentours mais avec difficultés de circuler car il y avait des travaux. C'est bien d'avoir mis des Ventilateurs car il faisait très chaud dans les chambres.Par contre le frigo était trop petit pour 4 adultes."

"The property was fantastic and exactly what we were hoping for. A huge villa with lots of rooms and space to spread out for the whole family. The villa was very clean and well prepared and the host was wonderful when we had a delay in our arrival. She met us at 23.00 to give us the keys and show us around. The river beach area was only 10 min walk and is great for outdoor activities. Fab stay."

"We really loved this out of the way find which proved a good base for discovering the delights of central Portugal: Gois with river beach, Figueira da Foz, Coimbra, all in good striking distance (with car) and Denise has plenty of further suggestions. Handy supermarket, nice garden and relaxing place to chill (as my daughter says)."

"This house is charming and has lots to offer in warmer weather than March. Luckily the fireplace in the main living area had a blower and there were two heaters because there is no central heat. We blew the fuses several times using the heaters and hot water or cooking. Electricity is lacking and the listing says there is an oven, washing machine and two showers, this is not so. Also the stove is a two burner cooktop . BUT...besides the inaccurate amenities we enjoyed the ambiance of the house...

"In many respects, I feel privileged to have been able to stay in this house. Our host, Pedro, was superbly welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. Thank you Pedro!! The house dates from before 1640 (according to an old map). It is on an ancient Roman road, which is part of a pilgrimage camino. The house oozes with character. But it is also quirky, and not always user-friendly, especially to an older, mobility-challenged person. The steps to enter the house are steep and awkward. The...

"La maison de Sébastien est idéale pour séjourner à 12. Les espaces sont très bien agencés, les 3 salles de bain et le très grand espace de pièce à vivre rendent la cohabitation nombreuse agréable et confortable. Sébastien est à l écoute et il lui tient à cœur que ses locataires passent le meilleur séjour possible. Village très tranquille avec supérette, dépôt de bain, café à moins de 100m. Plein de chouettes rando autour et de multiples coins debaignade possibles."

"Lovely rural 2 story cottage...Hazel had to "fetch" us because the beautiful place is hard to find. Do not attempt to arrive after dark. We used as a base to explore northern Portugal. A lime tree grows outside your kitchen window! We didn't use the pool but sat there for the fantastic sunsets. Beautiful experience."

Exceptional!

"As a frequent traveller I rarely find a property like the CBR Boutique that does just about everything right. I was in Coimbra for 3 nights and the staff was amazing! After checking in we were taken to the room so that we could be given a tour which was a great touch. The room we were in was beautiful with power black out blinds and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever had in a hotel stay with memory foam pillows too. Nice seating areas and extremely quiet. There were many other nice touches like sweets, coffee and tea in their breakfast room after breakfast hours and many tips about the city from the staff. The room also included a really nice breakfast buffet with very welcoming and pleasant staff. I wish I could have added on another night to my 3 night stay. When I go back to Coimbra this will be my "go to" hotel. I highly recommend it! "
