"There is something very special about Fredricks, at the edges it may to some appear a little frayed, and the décor a little dated, but to me this is charming, like a good pair of shoes, its comfortable, fits well and familiar. The rooms are lovely, the beds very comfortable, the customer service excellent and the food, well the food was absolutely amazing. There is something special about this place, relaxing and comfortable. I would 100% recomend"

"This is how hotels should be. It was absolutely esquisite. The finishings on the building was amazing and consistent throughout and was echoed by the quality at every angle, from the welcome, to food, to service, you name it. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere and a lovely place to be. We stayed during a very quiet period out of holidaty season and were still made to feel very welcome, were always asked how we were, and were very aware that any member of staff would go above and beyond to help out. Breakfast was very well done with a good choice and fresh ingredients and very well presented. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and this place is the yardstick by which I will compare all my future stays, I really can't recommend enough"

"Very comfortable apartment with almost everything you need. Waitrose almost opossite and high street nearby. Easy to go to train station. There are 3 things we found missing: mirror in the bathroom, entrance door mat and hook for jackets at the entrance."

"The property was definitely different. Located at Bray Marina and overlooked by a restaurant car park, it's perfect for any exhibitionists as there are no coverings over any of the portholes including the en suite!The property is a good size, but could be planned better as you are living out of bags and cases due to one bedroom having nowhere for clothes, there's not even a hook on the door.Beds were comfortable but one didn't have linen on it so we had to search to find some as we were told for the first night it wouldn't be sorted until the following day.The door is an absolute nightmare to try and lock, and it gets slippery outside the door. Some rubber mats would help as when it rains, it's a pretty scary manoeuvre getting on and off the boat, and the ladder/step combo is not for the fainthearted!The novelty of staying on the houseboat was great, but for the money, I'd have at least expected a small welcome pack or at least a bottle of milk"
