There are also friendly local customers that use the bar as their local pub, which was refreshing to see. In additions, William is preparing his kitchen to start serving hot food. "The Cain Valley is steeped in tradition and about as far from todays modern chain hotels as you can get. Great service, fair prices, good beer and enthusiastic staff. Very much a breath of fresh air. Its also well frequented by the locals - which is usually a good sign. but can get a little noisy at closing time. So recommend you ask for a room not over the Public Bar."

"Had a lovely night at The Fox Much Wenlock. Not the best room we’ve stayed in but it was really clean , nice comfortable bed and nice big fluffy towels. The food was excellent and freshly cooked and nothing was too much trouble . Worth a visit just to meet the owner and her lovely daughter who made us feel very welcome. We also found the village welcoming and interesting and a good base to visit other places. "
